Love
is transformative,
a variety of medicine
that tempers
the hard-rigid
outer layer
of soul
by perforating
greatly
the dispensable
guide
of self
until
those higher vibrations within
are engaged and developed
and brought forth
with a new
and refined
integrity—
an ecdysis of sorts—
and whether given
or received
love remains delicate,
like the wings
of a butterfly
at the tail end
of an epic migration,
yet
forceful enough
to pull
the heart
towards
divine proclivities,
as the moon
pulls the tides
and shapes the world
naturally
